About Me

Hello! My name is Elizabeth Lee and I am a UX/UI Designer based in Southern California. Because I am passionate about human cognition and emotions, my approach to design is deeply rooted in empathy, user centricity and meaningful communication.

I enjoy creating content and building on new creations. I
enjoy understanding and communicating with users of their concerns and love receiving feedback for better results.

I have a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. Throughout my time in school, I discovered my love for psychology as well as design. After entering the world of UX/UI Design, I was driven to bridge the gap between psychology and technology and ultimately make a positive impact in the world.

Outside of UX/UI Design, I am an avid fan of tearjerker K-dramas. I find the heart-wrenching or heartwarming scenes to be so captivating, leaving me in a constant search for emotional dramas. My love for tearjerkers have also played a part in my love for human emotions and how to evoke those emotions in different ways. Now, I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to create content that for users to feel positive and welcoming emotions.

My UX SKills

UI Prototyping

I start with a general layout I think is best based on user interviews/clear-cut issues.

The next step is to be detail-oriented. I will expand on each section and carefully iterate on all sections of the prototype that is necessary.

Usability Testing

With the mindset of understanding the current prototype with a fresh set of eyes, I am able to note what changes need to be made as well as distinguish between urgent vs. non-urgent issues.

I use google docs to write every step, confusion, and tasks the user has. I also record the test for review with the user’s permission.

Responsive Web Design

I believe that organization and distinguishing the hierarchy of importance between different sections of a website is the most vital step to RWD.

I start by categorizing what area are most importance to least and narrowing down what should be shown on the smaller devices and what should be hidden.
